The final project is about the book called The Outsiders and we are doing this project with some kids from L.A. My group chose to do a voice thread.
The voice thread is a good thing to do and we got ideas for the pictures and what were going to talk about but I have to say that the project with the group isn’t going very well because we are communicating over the computer and we are all getting different ideas in our head so we all made a different voice thread.
I think that doing this project is a good idea and we are learning different things but it isn’t going very well.
The movie The Outsiders I watched in class. I find that the movie is a lot different from the book. In the movie a few pieces from the book are cut out. Nothing has been added to it though. All the actors played their parts well but the book was better than the movie even though the movie was good.
The book called The Outsiders is a book that I read in class. The grade eight class from a school in Los Angeles read it too with us. We all finished the book, we watched the movie, and we did the final project. My opinion for the book is when I read it felt real because the author (S.E. Hinton) did a good job writing the book. The reason why I think she made Johnny die was because his job was done in the book, he was ready to die because of the shape he was in and because of the character he was in the book. I also think she made him die was to make the readers wonder why he died and want to know the reason behind the story. I also think that she made Dally die was because he kind of had a life like Johnny. His parents don’t care about him or what he does. His job was also finished in the book; he had nothing more to do. For the book I think she thought about making the characters come from horrible families or they are poor and can’t really afford anything was because the book would feel real when you read it and that is what makes the novel interesting. If they come from perfect families and have a perfect life you don’t really want to read or want to know what will happen next. I like how the author S. E Hinton wrote the book. This book is probably the one of the best books I have read.
