Sim City

Simcity is a game that I played at school. It is about running the town that you have created. You start off with a certain amount of money which is $100 000 dollars. You fix the town up so people will move there and then you work with keeping the people in your town. I started off with a small town and I kept working my way up to make a city. You can make the city or town as big as you want it to be.
You add some societies like a police station, a hospital, some stores, a school, make some roads for people to drive on, and homes for the people to live in. People will start moving in soon. The larger you make your town or city the more people you get. Technically you don’t want to use all of the money that you have. You don’t want to make the taxes too high or the people won’t pay them and they will move out of the town.

As the mayor it is your job to keep the town in good shape and clean. It is kind of a big job to control the town or city that you have made because you have to control everything that you have going on and you can’t run out of money or else your town is gone. You have to look at how much money you are making and how much money you are losing because you have to pay for the things that you have bought every month and your making money every month so figure out how much money you are making a month and how much money you would be losing for that month. When I played I was losing alot of money!

I find playing Sim City a good way of learning things about what the mayor deals with and also what it is like to be a mayor.

Government and Societys

The government provides us with essential needs such as water, food, an education, health, safety and power but we still have to pay for most of the things he has done for us. What the government does not provide us with is malls, restaurants, and a lot of stores you can shop in like Best Buy or Extra Foods because that is things that we dont absolutley need to live with. This is where society comes in.

Society is where you live in a group or an organization that you belong to. Some of the essentials that are in society are water, power, homes, jobs, and also an education. Some nice things that government doesn’t provide us with are a water park, child care, stores or restaurants. Its not his job to build things like that but he does give money to help build it.

Extra things that we could have that the government doesn’t provide us with are hotels, arenas, beaches or pools, a candy store, and fast food.

There are some examples of what the government does for us and some other examples of what the government doesn’t provide for us.

Writing, Blogging, and Reading!

Hello everyone,

When you want to read you think of reading a newspaper or a book or even reading things on the computer screen and when you want to write you want to write a book, or a story. Well that’s when blogging comes in. Blogging is technically reading and writing except that you are on the computer and everyone can see everything you write. The differences are when you are blogging you are on the computer and writing things for everyone to see and when you are writing you are writing with a pen on paper that just you can see. Reading is a little different than that. When you are reading you arent writing or blogging, you are just reading what is on the page or what is on the computer screen. That is what I think about writing, blogging, and reading!
